Principle of a Photovoltaic Installation “LV”
A low-voltage STEG network aims to save on electricity bills for residential and commercial use. A photovoltaic installation consists of:
- A set of photovoltaic panels
- One or more inverters converting direct current into alternating current
- DC & AC cabinets ensuring continuous and alternative electrical protection
- A bidirectional metering system allowing measurement of the electrical energy produced and consumed on the STEG electrical network
The electrical energy produced by the photovoltaic installation will be consumed directly at the building level. In case of surplus, the excess will be injected into the public STEG network
